Residential house gutted in fire at Ukhral

Ramban, Nov 19: A residential house was damaged in a fire mishap at Panla- Maligam, Pogal area of Ukhral tehsil in Ramban district Sunday morning.

On noticing the fire, locals rushed to the spot and started an operation to douse the flames. But the fire spread so fast and within no time engulfed the entire house and reduced it to ashes.

They said the house belonged to Bahar Ahmed Runyal son of Mohammad Hussain Runyal resident of Panla, Maligham Tehsil Pogal Paristan, Ukhral.

A police team also reached the spot. They said the fire was doused off with the help of locals.

They said on initial enquiry suggest that fire probably broke out due to electric short circuit.

SDPO Banihal Ajay Jamwal confirmed the incident and said the house was destroyed but there was no loss of human or animal life was reported in this fire incident.
