Residential house damaged in Khanyar fire incident

Srinagar, Nov 29: A residential house was partially damaged after a fire broke out at Rangar Stop in the Khanyar area of Srinagar on Saturday, officials said.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner --- KNC that Fire & Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot soon after receiving the alert and launched an operation to prevent the flames from spreading to adjoining structures.

The fire was brought under control in time, averting a major disaster in the densely populated locality, official said.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident, officials said.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation has been initiated.
