Srinagar, Oct 27: Shopkeepers of Residency Road have urged KPDCL to upgrade it billing service to enable to clear their bills within the stipulated time and prevent disconnection of their lines.

A delegation of shopkeepers from the area said power supply of several shopkeepers were snapped after they failed to make payments of bills. “The app for payment of power bills is not working properly and is not updated. Most of the time, the app shows wrong details. As a result many shopkeepers couldn’t make payments through online app. It is ironic that it takes over 24 hours to restore the power supply after clearing all power dues. This severely affects our business and we have to incur huge losses in absence of power supply,” they said,.

The traders appealed KPDCL authorities to upgrade its online billing service so that they can view their usage in real-time and make timely payments.
