The gushing water of Nallah Mawer which offers cold breezes happens to be the centre of attraction for visitors.

Besides, the best variety of trout fish found in Nallah Mawer inspires people to visit the place more often.

Locals have even set up private trout fish farms in the area where visitors cherish the fresh trout and even take them home as well.

For those travelling to Bangus Valley via the Mawer route, Reshwari offers a perfect stopping point where travellers can rest and refresh.

Tourists can even avail the services of homestays in Reshwari or stay at government rest houses with food on offer.

The Forest Department Langate Division has set up a wonderful rest house in Reshwari with all the facilities.

Located on the banks of Nallah Mawer, these rest houses offer a perfect place for tourists to spend evenings with their families.

Recently a family from Mumbai while enjoying barbeques on the banks of Nallah Mawer revealed that they were mesmerised by the beauty of this place.

“We haven’t seen such crystal clear water flowing before. This place, although less popular among tourists, owns all those things which can make it a better tourist spot,” said a family member.

“Tourists from across the country remain confined to only fewer known tourist destinations but I believe Kashmir is more beautiful beyond Gulmarg and Pahalgam. Tourists must visit the countryside in Kashmir and for that, Reshwari happens to be the best place to have a mesmerising experience,” said another tourist.

Locals said that for the last few years, the tourist flow to Reshwari has increased manifold which according to them was good for their economic growth.

However, they appealed to authorities to come up with all the necessary facilities so that those visiting Reshwari may not face hardships.
