Repatriated senior IAS officer posted to J&K segment of AGMUT cadre

Jammu, Dec 17: Senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Shantmanu, following his repatriation from central deputation, has been posted to the Jammu and Kashmir segment of AGMUT cadre with immediate effect and until further orders.

As per an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the period from the date of his joining the cadre – December 12, 2024, to the date of issue of the MHA order (December 17, 2024) will be treated as ‘awaiting posting.’

“Consequent upon repatriation from central deputation, Shantmanu, IAS (AGMUT: 1991) is hereby posted to the Jammu and Kashmir segment of AGMUT cadre with immediate effect and until further orders,” read MHA order.

“Shantmanu, IAS, (AGMUT: 1991) joined the cadre on December 12, 2024 (A/N). The period from the date of his joining the cadre to the date of issue of this order shall be treated as ‘awaiting posting.’ This issues with the approval of the competent authority,” the order read.

Meanwhile, the Union Territory Government has ordered the transfers and postings of two Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers, with immediate effect.

Joginder Singh Rai, awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Special Secretary with the Deputy Chief Minister.

Abdul Khabir, Special Assistant, with the Deputy Chief Minister, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary to the Government Tribal Affairs Department.
