Renouncing separatism by 2 separatist groups monumental: Chugh
Srinagar, Mar 27: National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Tarun Chugh Thursday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to fostering unity, peace, and development in J&K.
In a statement issued here, Chugh lauded the historic decision of two Hurriyat-affiliated groups – J&K Tahreeq-e-Isteqlal and J&K Tahreek-e-Istiqamat - to renounce separatism and embrace the vision of a unified India.
He termed this shift a monumental one towards lasting peace and integration, emphasising that it reflects the success of the government’s relentless efforts to restore normalcy, prosperity, and inclusivity in the region.
“Under the dynamic leadership of PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, J&K has witnessed unprecedented socio-economic development, the strengthening of democratic institutions, and a renewed sense of hope among its people,” Chugh said. “PM Modi’s dedication to building a Viksit Bharat, where every citizen feels empowered and connected, is truly commendable.”
Chugh said that the spirit of nationalism and unity has taken deep root in Kashmir.
“The rejection of separatist ideologies by these groups marks a significant victory for nationalism and stands as a testament to the people’s growing trust in the vision of a strong, united India,” he said.
Chugh said that under the Modi government, bold and decisive steps have been taken to dismantle terrorism and ensure the complete eradication of anti-national elements.
“The echoes of unity and progress are now resonating across Kashmir,” Chugh said.
He said that as J&K embraces a new era of peace, stability, and development, BJP’s was committed to safeguarding the region’s growth and full integration into the national mainstream.
“This historic transformation is just the beginning. The journey of a prosperous, united, and peaceful J&K is well underway,” he said.
