Release DA of govt employees, pensioners: Qayoom Wani

Srinagar, June 8:  President Jammu Kashmir Ladakh Pensioners United Front and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Civil Society Forum, Abdul Qayoom Wani, has demanded release of dearness allowances (DA)  January,1, 2020, July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021 with retrospective effect and payment of arrears from January 1, 2020 in favour of pensioners and government employees.

He was addressing a press conference here. Wani also demanded restoration of committed pension after 12 years instead of 15 years at present and stoppage of excess deduction and refund of the same amount to the pensioners.

“We demand grant of fixed medical allowance of Rs. 10,000 to all state, government pensioners as in the case of Central Government Pensioners,” he said.  Wani demanded implementation of cashless medical treatment to the all pensioners in all government hospitals and all government recognised private hospitals.
