Highlighting the relevance of Sheikh Abdullah's legacy, Sagar pointed out that the recently concluded elections demonstrated the NC's continued resonance with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He argued that reinstating the holiday would not only honor Sheikh Abdullah's contributions but also pay tribute to the sacrifices made by the people in strengthening democratic institutions and social justice in the region.

"Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah remains the guiding light for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. His values and vision act as a compass, steering this troubled land towards prosperity. Undermining his contributions is akin to denying the sun's rays that illuminate even the darkest of days," Sagar remarked, adding that those who once opposed Sheikh Abdullah's legacy have now been silenced by the enduring admiration of the masses.
