Rehearsals for IDY event conducted at SKICC

Srinagar, June 19: In anticipation of the 10th International Day of Yoga (IDY) event, a grand rehearsal was conducted at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) on the banks of Dal Lake on Wednesday morning, besides events at various locations across J&K.

The preparations are in full swing for the main event on Friday, which will be led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at SKICC on Friday morning.

Rehearsals for the grand event were conducted on Wednesday morning at the SKICC, marking the start of a series of yoga activities across Kashmir.

Several events were organised in various locations, including a prominent yoga session near the Ghanta Ghar at Lal Chowk.

Students participated enthusiastically, performing a variety of yoga ‘asanas’ under the guidance of trained instructors.

The main event on Friday, led by PM Modi, promises to be a significant gathering, with participants from across the J&K converging at the SKICC.

This will be Modi’s first visit to J&K after being sworn in as the PM for the third time.

Meanwhile, officials said that on Friday, yoga events would held across J&K.
