Regularise CIC operators: AIP’s plea to Chief Minister

Srinagar, Jun 18: The Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) has appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to immediately fulfill the commitment made to CIC operators working in the Rural Development Department (RDD) regarding the regularisation of their services.

In a statement AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi expressed anguish over the prolonged exploitation of CIC operators, who were appointed through a proper recruitment process in 2004 and have been continuously working in the department for the last 20 years.

“These youth have completed all codal formalities and have served with unmatched dedication and yet remain without job security or recognition. Their continued suffering is unjust and unacceptable,” said Inam Un Nabi.

He added  that this  is not a new issue. “Our party President and MP Baramulla Er Rashid, has always stood for justice and was among the first to raise this matter on the floor of the House and beyond. And now, when Er Rashid Sb is in jail, AIP MLA and senior Leader Sheikh Khursheed is actively pursuing the cause. It’s painful to see that despite eight months of the current JKNC-led government, no positive development has taken place,” AIp spokesman said.
