Redress grievances of pensioners: EJAC
Srinagar, Jan 3: President Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam has strongly urged the government to settle the pending issues of the employees and redress the grievances of the pensioners.
In a statement, while reiterating the demands and issues of the general employees and the pensioners, he cautioned the government not to test the patience of the employees. The government happens to be the model employer as such cannot behave as a mute spectator to the issues of its employees.
“The prices especially of the commodities are sky rocketing and the employees and the pensioners are left to high and dry in this situation. The D A instalment of three percent is yet to be paid whereas the market prices have already gone high and consumed that,”he said.
The EJAC President expressed displeasure for such a type of handling of issues He said the employees are an inseparable part of the government machinery and to keep their issues and demands unattended for a long time does not behove of an elected government. The government employees are to be dealt with the same treatment as their counterparts in central government offices, he added.
