Reddy credits PM Modi for Rahul’s Lal Chowk dinner
Jammu, Aug 22: Union Minister G Kishan Reddy Thursday asked the Congress leadership to clarify its stand on Article 370, the restoration of which formed the cornerstone of its (Congress’) alliance partner National Conference’s manifesto.
Reddy, on the sidelines of a party event here, was responding to media queries about Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s statements during their 2-day visit to J&K.
“Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi should clarify their stand on NC’s promise in its manifesto vis-a-vis Article 370. They should also come clear on their own stand on this account. Do they intend to take back rights of J&K people, given to them by the Modi government after their (deprived people’s) struggle for decades,” Reddy asked.
The Union Minister, while taking a dig at Rahul, said that he could dine out (at Lal Chowk) late at night only because of the hard efforts of the Modi government during the last ten years. “This could not have happened earlier,” he said.
Rahul and Kharge did not mention about Article 370 in their addresses, during their J&K visit.
