Srinagar, Sep 16: Red FM announced the launch of the Red Premier League (RPL) today, marking Kashmir's entry into professional cricket.

A statement said that the league, set to be the region's largest, will run from September 17 to Ocober 17 at Delhi Public School, Srinagar, featuring state-of-the-art facilities and a turf wicket under floodlights.

The RPL aims to revolutionise cricket in Jammu & Kashmir with 12 teams competing in 37 matches across two pools. The tournament will showcase a mix of national-level players and local talent, with each team allowed up to four national-level players and required to include at least one Under-19 player.

Cricket enthusiasts can watch live streams of all matches on Red FM JK and JK Sports Time, ensuring widespread access to the action.
