Record 5.12 lakh yatris performed Amarnath Yatra this year: Amit Shah

New Delhi, Aug 21: Union Home Minister Amit Shah Wednesday said that during this year’s 52-day-long Amarnath Yatra, a record of over 5.12 lakh yatris visited the Amarnath Cave shrine, which is the highest in the last 12 years.

In a post on the microblogging site X, Amit Shah said that the Amarnath Yatra had been completed successfully.

He congratulated all security personnel, Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), J&K administration, and voluntary organisations for the successful completion of the Amarnath Yatra and for making this yatra a success.

Shah said that all had made a unique contribution to making the yatra safe and smooth for the yatris.

“May Baba keep his blessings on everyone. Jai Baba Barfani!” he said.
