Reasi road accident: Presumed dead by doctors, minor girl shows sign of life

'The girl has critical injuries and would require preferential treatment,' the official said.

Srinagar, Aug 18: A minor girl was resuscitated after presumed to have died, alongside two other persons, who died in a car crash earlier today. Doctors said, she has responded to treatment.

A medical officer while speaking to news agency GNS said that the minor girl Sumera Ghulam, was among the occupants in a car which had rolled down near Chamelu Morh, Chassana area of Reasi in Jammu, resulting in instant death of two persons and injuries to two minors - a boy and a girl, he said.

He said the minor girl and the minor boy when received by the doctors, they presumed the girl was dead, based on the preliminary assessment.

However, after the close assessment, she was successfully resuscitated. The doctors could feel her pulse, giving signs of life still inside her.

"The girl has critical injuries and would require preferential treatment," the official said.

Two people who lost their lives in this accident, were both teachers.

On 16 August, two teachers lost their lives, also in a road accident, in south Kashmir's Shopian.
