Reasi District Softball Championship concludes

Jammu, Sep 08: The District Reasi Softball Championship 2024-25 concluded with great enthusiasm at Mini Sports Stadium, Pouni, Reasi today.

The event was organised by the District Reasi Softball Association (Adhoc Body) in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council and under the aegis of the J&K Softball Association.

Opinder Singh supervised the championship as the Organising Secretary. Sahil Randava, Tehsildar Pouni, graced the concluding ceremony as the Chief Guest. He commended the District Reasi Softball Association (Adhoc) for their professional organization of the event and emphasized the importance of regular tournaments at the Block and Club levels to promote softball in the Union Territory.

Randava praised the J&K Sports Council for their efforts in uplifting sports and providing modern facilities to athletes in the region. He encouraged all athletes to take advantage of the resources provided by the council.

The Chief Guest distributed medals and trophies to the winners and runners-up. In the Junior Boys Category, GHSS Pouni emerged as the winner, with GMS Softball Club as the runner-up. For the Girls' Category, Kheralair Club clinched the top spot, while Khalar School Softball Club secured the runner-up position.

The technical team, comprising Ajay Salathia, Pardeep Singh, Sagar Chib, Deep Singh, Mohit Sharma, and Sonali Sharma, played a crucial role in the successful execution of the championship.

The event was sponsored by the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council.
