RDD Secretary reviews progress on flagship schemes

Srinagar, Apr 2: Secretary, Rural Development Department (RDD) and Panchayati Raj, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, reviewed progress on UT Capex, CSS and KPIs achieved in the financial year 2023-24 with the Assistant Commissioners Development (ACDs), Assistant Commissioners Panchayat (ACPs) and Block Development Officers (BDOs) of Kashmir division at SKICC.

The Administrative Secretary had a detailed review of flagship schemes being implemented by Rural Development Department.He held detailed deliberations with the ACDs and ACPs for achieving the targets.

Dr Shahid underscored the importance of convergence within the department to ensure effective utilization of resources and progress at the district level. He emphasized collaboration among different departments and stakeholders to achieve the goals.

He stressed the need for training programs for panchayat members and officials, as well as Self-Help Groups (SHGs) for social auditing to promote transparency.

Recognising the importance of interpersonal communication in driving progress, Dr. Shahid highlighted the need for suggestions from field officers on how to improve public outreach and office efficiency from financial and administrative perspectives.
