Rashtriya Karmayogi–Jan Seva Programme: CUK launches training for teaching, administrative staff

Ganderbal, Aug 25: The Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) has launched a series of capacity-building training sessions for its teaching and administrative employees under the Rashtriya Karmayogi–Large Scale Jan Seva Programme (RK-LSJSP), an initiative of the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), Government of India. The training began at the university’s Tulmulla campus on Monday.

The programme, to be conducted in seven batches till September 8, aims to enhance institutional efficiency, professional competence, and citizen-centric service delivery.

Addressing the inaugural session, Dean Academic Affairs and In-charge Registrar, Prof. Shahid Rasool, stressed that capacity building was central to CUKashmir’s mission of academic excellence and effective governance. He said teaching staff played a vital role in nurturing future leaders and innovators, while administrative employees ensured efficient management of infrastructure, technology, and student services.

“By working with commitment and synergy, CUKashmir, along with other universities, can become catalysts in realising the dream of a developed India by 2047, as envisioned by the Prime Minister,” Prof. Shahid said, adding that the initiative was spearheaded by Vice-Chancellor Prof. A Ravinder Nath.

The training is being conducted by Dr. Javid Ahmad Wani, Deputy Registrar (Planning & Development), and Mr. Abdul Rashid Bhat, Deputy Registrar (Administration), both empanelled as Master Trainers by the Capacity Building Commission. They underlined that the sessions aim to embed efficiency, empathy, and innovation in university processes, ensuring transparent and accountable governance.
