Banihal, Oct 11: The residents of Ramban staged peaceful candle march at various locations of the district including main market Halla, Jatgalli, Shandri, Ghari and Kumait villages of Ramban district, demanding justice for Salesha Devi and her four children.

The locals said Salesha Devi (38), wife of Jeevan Singh, resident of Jatgalli Tehsil Rajgarh in district Ramban has been missing for over a month, but the Ramban police have yet to yield any concrete results.

The community, united in their quest for justice, urged the police authorities to take swift and stringent action against suspected culprits and book them under relevant sections of the law.

They sought prompt justice for the victim and her four innocent children at home.

They said that the candle march in a dozen villages of Ramban reflects the community's collective concern and determination to ensure justice prevails.

When contacted SHO Ramban, Vijay Kotwal said that a missing report has been lodge at Police Station Ramban and investigation is in full swing. He said husband (suspected) of Salesha Devi is being summoned to Police Station Ramban on daily basis and is questioned in the missing case of his wife.

Kotwal said we are hopeful to solve the mysterious missing of the lady very soon.
