Ramban police solve theft case
Ramban, July 2: Police in Ramban District have solved a theft case registered at local Police Station Ramban by arresting the culprits and recovering the stolen items from their possession.
Police sources said on June 10, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Ramban by a resident of Kahowbag, Ramban.
He reported the theft of gold ornaments such as two bangles, two earrings, one rings, one chain, and one necklace (haar) as well as silver ornaments including two necklaces, eight silver earrings, two silver rings, all stolen Jewelries amounting to Rs three lakh approx and cash from his house located in Khowbag, Ramban.
Acting on the complaint, a case (FIR No. 138 of 2024) under Sections 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at Police Station Ramban, and an investigation was initiated.
During the course of the investigation, police rounded up several suspects based on technical analysis.
Upon sustained interrogation, the accused persons disclosed their involvement in the case.
