Bhalla said that after abrogation of special status, the land of poor is being snatched, the protection to jobs have gone and there are no jobs in government and private sector. “In this situation the BJP government and UT administration is putting additional burden of all sorts of taxes on poor. When the people raise their voice, they are booked on frivolous charges and crushed to suppress the voice of people,” he said. The Congress leader added that to divert the public attention from the failures on all the fronts, the BJP is trying to divide the people on communal lines. “The atmosphere across the country has been vitiated with the patriotic Indians, due to attempt of the BJP to divide the common people on communal lines,” he said.

The Congress leader added that BJP had claimed opening of gates of private investments and creation of large scale jobs in private sector but nothing of this sort has been witnessed. “The local traders, contractors, businessmen and transporters are losing business opportunities to outside residents, especially in Jammu region,” Bhalla said. He strongly criticized the disbanding and downgrading of historical state into UT.

The Congress leader stated that the promise of large scale government jobs and opening private sector for jobs, was a big bluff and joke with the educated youth of J&K. He accused the BJP government of exploiting their political powers vested in them by virtue of forming the government at the Centre to target the Congress leadership and in an attempt to weaken the opposition and distract the public attention away from their failures.
