Ramadhan to begin in Saudi Arabia on Monday as crescent sighted

For the Muslims in South Asia, the crescent is expected tomorrow (Monday) and subsequently, the holy month will start from Tuesday.

Srinagar, March 10:The Muslims of holy lands of Makkah, Medina, Al-Quds and the Arabic world will offer the Taraweeh prayers tonight after Isha, as the crescent of Ramadan 1445 (2024) was sighted in Saudi Arabia Sunday evening.

"The crescent of Ramadan 1445/2024 has been sighted in Saudi Arabia. Subsequently, Ramadan 1445/2024 begins tomorrow, 11 March 2024. Taraweeh Prayers will begin in the Two Holy Mosques after Isha Prayers," The Haramain said in an official communique.

Haramain is the media office for the two holy mosques.
