Ram Madhav, G K Reddy appointed BJP’s election incharges
Srinagar, Aug 20: Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) appointed its two senior leaders Ram Madhav and Union Minister G K Reddy as its election incharge of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls.
Madhav, who served as the national general secretary of the BJP during 2014-20, was responsible for handling the political affairs of Jammu and Kashmir.
Madhav along with former Finance Minister of J&K, Haseeb Drabu had played a key role in stitching the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-BJP alliance after the 2014 assembly polls.
“Under the leadership of BJP National President and Union Minister J P Nadda, the names of the candidates will be finalised. It will be announced this week. The state election committee will recommend the names and then we will recommend a panel from that. The final decision will be made by the national election committee," G K Reddy said.
