Rajouri mishap: Earth excavation machine plunges into gorge

Rajouri, Jul 22: An earth excavation machine plunged into gorge alongside Jammu Rajouri -Poonch National Highway at Irwan Khanetar village near Rajouri town .

The machine was engaged for working of upgradition of Jammu- Rajouri- Poonch National Highway and machine was working at site in Irwan Khanetar village when machine plunged in river gorge.

The soil in the area was too soft due to heavy rainfall and landslide hit the area beneath causing plunging of earth excavation machine.

No loss of life occurred in the incident as operator managed to jump out timely.
