Two dead, three injured in Rajouri highway mishap

Rajouri, Dec 03: Two people lost their lives while three others sustained injuries in a tragic road mishap that happened on Jammu Rajouri Poonch National Highway at Chingus in Rajouri district.

The accident took place in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

As per police, a cab bearing registration number JK12D 7568 was coming from Jammu towards Rajouri when it collided with a roadside concrete crash barrier at Chingus.

In this accident, vehicle driver and four passengers among five people sustained injuries who all were shifted to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri where Naik Singh (53) son of Puran Singh resident of Bari Pattan and Mohd Yaqoob(45) son of Mohd Fazal resident of Saila Surankote were declared as brought dead.

The injured include Mohd Farooq son of Mohd Fazal resident of Saila Surankote, Driver Mohd Sageer son of Mohd Haneef resident of Digwar Poonch and Mohd Mushtaq son of Fazal Hussain resident of Kakora Manjakote.

The injured are under treatment in GMC Rajouri
