Raj Kumar Goyal appointed as Secy Border Management in MHA

New Delhi, Feb 3: Jammu and Kashmir’s Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Home, Raj Kumar Goyal has been appointed as the Secretary of Border Management in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Goyal (1990: UT), a part of the major reshuffle at the secretary level position enacted by the Centre with five officers having been upgraded (in-situ) to the secretary level.

Four secretary-level positions were lying vacant.

Apurva Chandra (MH: 88), Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare.

Sukhbir Singh Sandhu (UK: 88) who retired as Secretary to the Lokpal has been appointed on a contract basis for one year from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier, on usual terms and conditions as applicable to re-employed Central Government officers.

Raj Kumar Goyal (UT: 90), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Secretary of the Department of Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Niten Chandra (OR: 90), Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence.

K Moses Chalai, (MN: 90), Secretary, North Eastern Council Secretariat, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region has been appointed as Secretary of Inter State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Anil Malik (HY: 91), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as an Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Women and Child Development in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.

The officer would take over as Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development vice Indevar Pandey (WB: 88) upon his superannuation on February 29, 2024.

Sumita Dawra (AP:91), Special Secretary (Logistics), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Labour and Employment in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.

The officer would take over as Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment vice Arti Ahuja, (OR: 90) upon her superannuation on February 29, 2024.

Vijay Kumar (UT: 92), Special Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation as Chairman, Inland Waterways Authority of India, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has been appointed in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India by temporarily upgrading the post.

Ashish Kumar Bhutani (AM: 92) presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Secretary, the Ministry of Cooperation.

Sanjay Jaju (TG: 92), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting vice Apurva Chandra (MH: 88) upon his appointment as Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare.
