Rainawari Wonder Boys lift Kashmir Sub Area Cricket tournament

Srinagar, Nov 2: The Kashmir Sub Area Cricket Tournament 2025, organised by the Indian Army in collaboration with the NGO ‘Saving the Future’, concluded on Sunday at the Chattabal Military Garrison in Srinagar, with Rainawari Wonder Boys clinching the title after an emphatic eight-wicket win over Chattabal Spartans in the final.

As per an official statement issued by PRO Defence, the high-energy tournament characterised the team spirit of 08 participating teams from across Srinagar City, showcasing exceptional talent and skill throughout the competition. Played over seven days, more than 700 spectators celebrated the game of cricket by cheering their favourite teams and supporting local youth.

GOC Kashmir Sub Area graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Fazlul Haseeb, IAS, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, as Guest of Honour. All the participants and winners were felicitated by the chief guest on the occasion, who lauded the enthusiasm and sportsmanship displayed by all teams.

The statement added that the event affirmed the commitment of the Chinar Corps in meeting aspirations of the youth of Kashmir and in providing opportunities to them through sports for a vibrant and happy Kashmir.
