Raina welcomes high voters turnout in Srinagar PC
Rajouri, May 13
J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina welcomed high voters turnout on Srinagar Parliamentary constituency terming it a boon for democracy.
He also gave reference of old times when voters turnout from the areas of Kashmir valley used to remain quite lesser than today's figure.
In a statement, Raina said that people from all areas falling under Parliamentary constituency Srinagar have voted in high numbers and have elected the ballot which is a positive sign in all aspects.
"The numbers are remarkable when compared with the numbers of previous years," he said adding that high voters turnout paves way for more competition which is must for strong democracy.
He congratulated all the people of Kashmir for visiting their polling stations and casting their votes.
Raina further said that Anantnag Rajouri parliamentary seat is also going to witness dance of democracy on May 25 and the candidate and party having support of BJP will come out with flying colours.
Earlier, BJP President addressed a party convention at Kotranka sub division headquarter in Rajouri in which other senior party leaders were also present.
Raina while addressing the gathering said that party's cadre in areas of Rajouri is the most dedicated and hardworking one and are working for campaign of party as asked by party higher command.
