Railway catering contracts fetch Rs 24.72 lakh for Jammu division

Jammu, Aug 4: Jammu Railway Division of Northern Railway has earned a revenue of Rs 24,72,255 as the total contract value through the e-auction of catering stalls in various railway stations under the Division.

The result of the e-auction for catering stalls, conducted by Jammu Division under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Vivek Kumar and the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Uchit Singhal, was declared on Monday (August 4, 2025).

Giving a detailed account of the e-auction process, Singhal said, “The total contract value allotted on August 4, 2025, was Rs 24,72,255. One catering stall was allotted at Mukerian Railway Station in which the total value of the contract for 5 years, at the rate of Rs 1,32,555 for the first year, is Rs 7,82,047.5. A catering unit at Mazhom Railway Station in Kashmir Valley was allotted at the rate of Rs 90,555 for the first year, and the total value of the contract for 5 years is Rs 5,34,274.5.”

Similarly, the allotment of a catering stall at Bari Brahmana Railway Station has been made at the rate of Rs 49,600 for the first year. The total value of the contract for 5 years is Rs 2,92,640.

“The allotment of a catering unit at Guler Railway Station has been made at the rate of 49,980 for one year, and the total value of the contract for 5 years is Rs 2,94,882. A catering unit at Nagrota Surian Railway Station has been allotted at the rate of Rs 47,786 for one year, and the total value of the contract for 5 years is Rs 2,81,937,” Singhal informed.

A catering unit at Nurpur Railway Station in Himachal Pradesh was auctioned at the rate of Rs 48,555 for one year, and the total value of the contract for 5 years was Rs 2,94,882.

“It is noteworthy that for the first time tenders have been allotted for NGKV stations at Guler, Nagrota Surian and Nurpur. Apart from this, after repeated efforts, the tender for Bari Brahmana station has also been allotted,” Singhal stated.
