Rafi Mir visits fire victims in Pahalgam

Pahalgam, Jul 11: Former Pahalgam MLA and Apni Party General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir on Friday visited Laripora village in Pahalgam, where several residential homes were damaged in a fire earlier in the day.

Mir expressed sympathies with the affected families and urged the administration to expedite relief and rehabilitation efforts.

He also called on the Pahalgam Development Authority (PDA) to allow immediate reconstruction and unhindered supply of building materials to the fire victims without any administrative delays.

“I hope the government of the day will provide adequate care and address the matter effectively, particularly by easing building permissions and allowing material for rebuilding homes,” Mir said while speaking to reporters at the site.

He met with local officials and emphasised the need for swift and coordinated action to support the victims.
