Rafaqat's blazing 81 fires UFCC Rayil to T20 cricket title victory

Kangan, May 4: UFCC Rayil emerged champions, lifting the T20 Cricket Tournament held in Rayil cricket ground with a commanding nine-wicket victory over Shaheen Warriors in the final held on Sunday.

Abdul Rauf, captain of the Shaheen Warriors, won the toss and opted to bat first.

Shaheen Warriors managed to score 134 runs and were bundled out in 20 overs. Chasing a target of 134, the UFCC Rayil only lost two wickets with a brilliant knock of 81 runs off just 31 balls by Rafaqat Majeed, who was declared player of the match. Sheikh Sahil was adjudged as player of the series, while Umar Farooq was named as the best bowler.

Station House Officer Gund, Chairman Civil Society Tehsil Gund, senior citizens and a good gathering of spectators attended the event. The guests distributed trophies and medals among the winner and runner-up teams and players, respectively.
