RAAHAT Book Club hosts literary meet in Sopore

Sopore, Aug 17: The RAAHAT Book Club Sopore on Sunday organised a special literary session under the theme “Meet the Eminent Abdul Rashid Afaque.”

Afaque, an accomplished writer from Sopore with twelve published works covering education, spirituality, translation, and poetry, shared his life experiences and literary journey with participants. The programme began with paper presentations by Rafia Wali and Prof. Ghulam Mohideen, followed by an interactive session.

Prominent personalities present included Shahnaz Rashid, Rouf Qayasi, Nisar Sopori, Mushtaq Sopori, Zahoor Hygami, Qazi Ghulam Mohammad Gulshan, Rafia Wali, Rehmat Bashir, and Mehvish Rafiqa Firdous.

A key highlight of the gathering was the formal release of the second edition of Afaque’s book “The Wind Without Rain,” lending further significance to the event.
