Qayoom Wani urges timely delivery of textbooks
Jammu, Dec 30: Abdul Qayoom Wani, Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF), has called upon the Education Minister, Sakina Itoo, to personally intervene in resolving several pressing issues affecting the education sector.
In a statement, Wani expressed concern over the persistent delay in making textbooks available to students by the J&K Board of School Education (BoSE). He emphasised that this delay has been a major hindrance to the academic progress of students and called for urgent measures to ensure timely distribution of study materials.
Wani said BoSE authorities are habitual of delay in text book distribution despite this issues was raised by civil society many times in past.
He said that the students are the future of our society and nobody will be allowed to play with their future. Wani said BoSE needs academicians and experts from the education department to run this prestigious institution not administrators.
