Pulwama police rescue two women in need of medical emergency
Srinagar, Dec 28: Pulwama police has rescued two women in need of a medical emergency and also helped people to take dead body to native area for the last rites.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that in a display of prompt action and commitment to public service, police responded to two separate distress calls amidst heavy snowfall in the region.
In the first instance, a distress call was received reporting that a group of people, along with a deceased body, were stranded at Wahibugh while en route to Qazipora Budgam, he said.
"Despite efforts to clear the road leading to Qazipora, heavy snowfall and slippery conditions rendered it impassable. Acting swiftly, the police ensured the dead body was carried on foot to Qazipora, enabling the bereaved family to perform the final rites," he added.
In another incident early this morning, he said that two women in need of emergency medical attention were rescued near Turkawagan Bridge.
"Braving adverse weather conditions, Pulwama Police transported the patients to District Hospital Pulwama, where they received the necessary treatment," he added.
