PUCA launches Healthcare Programmes for international job opportunities

Srinagar, July 17: The Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA), under the aegis of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, organised a launching ceremony for “Healthcare Programs for International Job Opportunities” in Chandigarh.

Dr Rajeev Sood, Vice Chancellor of BFUHS, Faridkot, served as the Chief Guest. Dr Sandeep Kaura, Advisor to the National Skill Development Council (NSDC) and NSDC International, was the special guest of honor. Sanjay Malaviya, Founder & Advisor of QAI, UK, attended as Guest of Honor, while Dr. Anshu Kataria, President of PUCA, presided over the session.

The event began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony and welcomed approximately 150 PUCA members. NSDC International and QAI, UK presented plans for training in over 1,500 skill-based healthcare programs.

Dr Sood emphasized that these skill-based programs would enhance job opportunities for health professional students both in India and abroad. He commended PUCA’s efforts in organizing this informative session.

Dr Kaura highlighted the risks associated with unregulated immigration consultants and advocated for skill upgrades through government-to-government projects executed by NSDC International.

Dr Kataria noted the increased global demand for healthcare professionals and stressed the need for skill enhancement in areas such as diagnostics, training, and assessment.
