PUCA holds conference on Digital Punjab to boost higher education

Srinagar, Aug 3: Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA), in collaboration with Collegedunia, organised a special conference on “Digital Punjab – Transforming Education Through Technology” with the vision of making Punjab the No. 1 destination for higher education.

The conference was inaugurated by Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, who said the state has moved from the image of “Udta Punjab” to “Padhta Punjab.” He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to making Punjab a national leader in higher education, just as it already leads in school education.

Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu, who graced the occasion as Guest of Honour, lauded PUCA’s role in strengthening the state’s educational ecosystem. He appealed to institutions to contribute towards flood relief and personally announced a donation of Rs 1.25 lakh.

PUCA President Dr. Anshu Kataria highlighted the association’s efforts to promote Punjab as a global hub for higher education while safeguarding the interests of self-financing institutions. He stressed the importance of digital innovation in modern classrooms to improve career opportunities for students. Collegedunia founder Sahil Chalana assured continued support in driving the digital transformation of education through technology platforms and student-focused services.
