PUCA commemorates 9 years of Excellence in Education

Srinagar, Mar 10: The Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) celebrated its 9th Foundation Day in association with the Punjab Unaided Technical Institute Association (PUTIA).

A statement said that the event was attended by the presence of S. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Member of Rajya Sabha, Chancellor, Chandigarh University and Patron of the Joint Association of Colleges (JAC); Ashwani Sekhri, Former MLA; S. Manjit Singh, Patron of PUCA & PUTIA; Dr. Gurmeet Dhaliwal, Chairman of PUCA-PUTIA; Gurvinder Singh, Chancellor of Bahra University; Sandeep Kaura, Chancellor of Lamrin Tech Skill University; S. Gurdyal Singh Buttar, President of the Nursing Training Institute Association (NTIA); and Dr. Guninderjit Singh Jawandha, Chairman of Punjab Infotech, among other luminaries. The event was presided over by Dr. Anshu Kataria, President of PUCA, Co-Chairman of JAC, and Chairman of Aryans Group of Colleges. The theme for the day was "Making Punjab the Destination for Technical Education."

The ceremony began with a traditional lamp-lighting ritual, followed by Dr. Kataria’s heartfelt expression of gratitude towards the steadfast support of PUCA's members over the past eight years. He also took the opportunity to highlight the association's remarkable achievements during this period and released the annual newsletter.

1. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Member of Rajya Sabha, congratulated Dr. Anshu Kataria and the entire PUCA team for their remarkable contributions to the educational landscape. He lauded Dr. Kataria’s relentless advocacy for unaided colleges in Punjab, as well as his pivotal role in addressing national educational challenges that have affected 16-17 states. Sandhu reaffirmed his continued support for the initiatives of PUCA and PUTIA.
