Public participation essential in nation building: Rohit Kansal
Jammu, Jan 17: Central Prabhari Officer and Union Additional Secretary, Ministry for Textiles, Rohit Kansal, today said that public participation is essential in nation building.
According to a press release, he was speaking during his visit to Panchayat Suryachak at Mandal block under the ambitious public outreach programme "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra".
While highlighting the significance of the yatra, Rohit Kansal said that the ambitious initiative aims to create awareness among citizens about various welfare schemes and seek their participation in the spirit of “Jan Bhagidari” to ensure 100 per cent saturation of government schemes. “ It is the largest-ever outreach initiative of Government of India which will ensure required services are accessible to all targeted and eligible beneficiaries facilitating the last mile delivery,”he said.
Kansal highlighted the significant impact of government schemes on lives of common masses over the past decade, citing the success of Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan, PMAY, Ujjwala, Ujala, Laadli Beti and other such schemes. He proudly shared that Jammu and Kashmir has excelled in achieving universal health coverage under Ayushman Bharat scheme, a unique accomplishment in comparison to rest of the nation.
