Public mandate more valid: Touseef Raina

Baramulla, Sept 02: Former President Baramulla Municipal Committee (MC) and an Independent candidate for Baramulla Assembly seat, Touseef Raina said that the validation of public mandate was more strong than the mandate given by any party to their candidates.

Raina, who kick-started his election campaign from old town Baramulla said that he decided to contest Assembly elections this year after receiving feedback from the people on ground.

“So I decided to start my campaign from my home town to see the response of the people and after holding my first public meeting in old town Baramulla, I am confident that similar response will be received for other areas of the Baramulla Assembly constituency,” Touseef Raina said.

He said that during his campaigning, he will not deliver lectures on his manifesto saying that people are fed up with these documents being explained to the public before election.
