PSAJK urges Centre to ensure safety, well-being of Indian students in Iran
Srinagar, Mar 2: Private Schools Association Jammu & Kashmir (PSAJK) has condemned the loss of innocent civilian lives, particularly the suffering of children, amid the ongoing conflict affecting Iran and the wider region.
Expressing deep concern over the humanitarian situation, President PSAJK Dr Nazrul Islam Baba said that the education fraternity of J&K stands in solidarity with families and children impacted by violence and instability.
He termed the killing of Ayatullah Khomeini as deeply tragic and emphasized that violence and war only bring devastation to humanity. “The school community believes in peace, dialogue, and the protection of human life. Educational institutions represent hope and humanity, and we strongly condemn all acts that result in the loss of innocent lives,” he said. PSAJK urged all global stakeholders to exercise restraint and prioritize peaceful resolution through dialogue to prevent further humanitarian suffering.
Nazrul Islam Baba also appealed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to take necessary diplomatic measures to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian students who remain in Iran and may be facing uncertainty due to the prevailing situation.
