PSAJK urges action on key issues affecting J&K’s private schools
Srinagar, Oct 25: In a pivotal step toward addressing the needs of the private education sector, a high-level delegation from the Private Schools' Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK), led by President G N Var, met with the Minister of Education, Sakeena Itoo, at her office in the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar.
The PSAJK delegation included notable members including Faisal Mir (General Secretary), Shah Gulzar (Chief Organiser), Majid Bhat (Divisional Organiser), Bilal Bhat (District President Srinagar), Mohd Syed Wani (District President Anantnag), Tahir Wagay (District Secretary), Qazi Amaar, Javaid Ahmad, Atif Chisti, and Sajad Hussain Rather (D.H. Pora), among others. They conveyed their congratulations and warm welcome to Minister Itoo for taking on this crucial role.
The delegation welcomed Minister Itoo on her new appointment as the Minister.
The PSAJK delegation highlighted several important issues with Education Minister Sakeena Itoo, including a streamlined process for obtaining permanent registration for private educational institutions and fostering long-term investment in quality education.
PSAJK advocated for the simplification of No Objection Certificates (NOCs), which create administrative bottlenecks and affect the efficient functioning of schools.
It also urged for a balanced and transparent approach to fee regulations to ensure operational sustainability while maintaining quality standards in the education sector.
