PSAJK launches new initiative to bridge learning gaps
Srinagar, Dec 12: The Private Schools’ Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) has joined hands with Edu-fintech LEO1, Edubull to manage school finances and bridge learning gaps among students.
The move comes in wake of the 3 month winter vacation announced by the School Education Department (SED) for schools in Kashmir division.
Talking to media persons, the president PSAJK G N Var said that the three month long vacation will result in learning losses of students.
“Already we have availed fewer working days as we got only 160 effective working days in 2023 academic session against 220 working days as recommended by CBSE and JK Board,” he said.
He said the PSAJK has discussed and deliberated on these issues with all stakeholders and experts on how “we can stop the learning losses.”
He said that the school finances was another burning issue because parents are not able to pay their fees on time due to the economic recession, which ultimately tells upon the financial stability of private schools and teachers also become the victims of it.
“Leo1 has joined hands with us to link the school fees with the rewards for the parents. They have a financial system under which in coming years, the students will not be forced to pay the school fees,” he said.
G N Var said that under the new system chalked out by LEO1, the parents who clear the dues on time will get the rewards under a proper financial system for which “we have signed a MoU with the Leo1 so that no poor student leaves studies midway.”
“We have so many parents who are extremely disciplined when it comes to financial matters like submitting fees. Come what may, they are always regular. These parents often go unrewarded and it is here the new system will incentivise them and in many cases refund their fee too,” G N Var said.
Var said the partnership with LEO1 will mark a significant stride towards revolutionizing educational institutions, optimizing resources, and enhancing the education fee payment experience for students and parents.
Notably, the LEO1 Embedded Stack is a comprehensive financial and software solution that equips educational institutions with modern technologies, aimed at reducing administrative costs while amplifying their operational efficiency.
“Students of J&K will benefit from a range of tools provided by LEO1, allowing for seamless fee payments and increased enrolments,” Var said.
Managing Director Rohit Gajbhiye who is also the Founder of LEO1, expressed his enthusiasm regarding this strategic implementation.
“We are committed to alleviate financial constraints for educational institutions and ensure unhindered access to learning opportunities for students,” he said.
