Protest erupts in Rajouri over alleged fraud at J&K Bank

Rajouri, Oct 08: A protest erupted on Wednesday in Palma area of Rajouri after an alleged fraud case surfaced at the J&K Bank branch in Palma. Agitated residents blocked the Rajouri-Kotranka road, demanding the immediate return of their money and strict action against the accused.

J&K Bank DGM Rajouri, Rajeev Dhingra said that an SMC committee has been formed to investigate the matter thoroughly. He assured that strict action would be taken against anyone found guilty.

Officials said the situation is being monitored, and the administration is coordinating with the bank to resolve the issue at the earliest. (KNC)
