Protest against derogatory remarks carried out in Doda, Kishtwar
Ramban, Oct 6: Scores of Muslims from the Kishtwar, Doda, and Ramban districts staged separate protest rallies against a priest for his defamatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad (SAW) on Sunday.
Reports indicate that the protest rallies were organized by various Seerat committees and Muslim organizations in Kishtwar, Doda, and Ramban, with hundreds of Muslims participating. The rallies also took place in the inner villages of these districts.
The protestors demanded stern action against Yati Narsinghanand for hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims.
Protestors in Ramban stated that Yati Narsinghanand is repeatedly spreading hate speeches and statements against Muslims and Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which hurt the religious sentiments of the entire Muslim community.
They expressed strong resentment against the blasphemous remarks, which have the potential to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the region.
The protestors raised slogans against Yati Narsinghanand and urged the government to take strict action in accordance with the law against the perpetrator.
Fortunately, all the protests remained peaceful, and no untoward incidents were reported from any part of the region.
