A police spokesperson said that Police Station Bijbehara had earlier registered FIR No. 167/2025 U/S 8/21 of the NDPS Act against one Mohd Saleem Dar, alias Sahib Matto, son of Abdul Rasheed Dar, resident of Tulkhan, for his involvement in illicit drug trafficking. During the course of investigation, it also came to light that his father, Abdul Rasheed Dar, had already been booked in FIR No. 113/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act of the same police station.

Investigations revealed that the duo had amassed wealth and acquired immovable properties - a double-storey residential house and a single-storey commercial shopping complex in Village Tulkhan, through proceeds of illegal narcotics trade.
