Properties of 3 proclaimed offenders attached in Baramulla: Police

Srinagar, Apr 7:  The properties of three proclaimed offenders were attached in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday, Police said.

A statement of J&K Police issued here said that in Baramulla after obtaining an attachment order passed by Sub Judge Uri, Police attached properties 30 kanal and 15 marla land worth crores of rupees belonging to proclaimed offenders, who had ex-filtrated to PoK and Pakistan.

The three proclaimed offenders were identified as Muhammad Lateef, son of Shah Muhammad of Sultandaki whose 18 kanal and 6 marlas land was attached; Sadar Din, son of Alam Din of Madiyan whose 9 marla land was attached; and Aziz Din, son of Imam Din of Singtung Gowhallan whose 12 kanal of land was attached.

The action was taken under Section 83 CRPC and the attachments were linked with case FIR No 88/1984 under Section 7/25 of the IA Act, 4, 3 of the TADA Act and 13/1987 under Section 457 and 380 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC), 6/2008 under Section 2/3 of EIMCO and case FIR No 116/1996 under Section 2/3 of EIMCO of Police Station Uri.

During the investigation conducted by Police, the property was identified to be of the proclaimed offenders, Police said.
