Srinagar, May 14:  Properties of two terror handlers were attached in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday, Police said.

A statement of Police issued here said that the properties of two terror handlers based in Pakistan were attached after obtaining attachment orders passed by Sub Judge Uri.

The attached properties include 1 kanal and 11 marlas of land worth lakhs of rupees belonging to two terror handlers based in Pakistan - Muhammad Arif Badal, son of Ghulam Hussain of Nawarunda and Muhammad Bashir, son of Mir Alam of Gowhallan, Uri.

The action was taken under Section 83 CRPC and is linked with case FIR No 82/1999 under Section 2/3 EIMCO Act, case FIR No 34/1999 under Section 354 and 323 and 06/2008 under Section 2/3 EIMCO Act of Police Station Uri.

During the investigation, the property was identified to be belonging to terror handlers.

The operation reaffirms the commitment of the Police to combat the terror activities.

“In 2024, Police in Baramulla have attached properties of 20 terror handlers worth crores of rupees,” the Police statement said.
