Progress of developmental works reviewed in Samba

Samba, Dec 19: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba, Abhishek Sharma Tuesday presided over a meeting with officers to review the status of projects being executed under District Capex, UT Capex, and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).

An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that the concerned functionaries of the line departments provided a detailed sector-wise overview of different works being executed and presented in-depth details of the progress achieved so far.

The DC reviewed the expenditure status of all departments and directed the officers to complete the remaining ongoing developmental works at the earliest.

Asking for optimum utilisation of funds, he directed the officers to gear up the pace to complete the developmental works within the current financial year as per the financial rules.

He also directed to ensure that the works are accelerated to create tangible results on the ground.

To focus on 100 percent utilisation along with physical achievements, a review of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was also held.

It was directed to converge Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra with the ‘Yuva Vani’ programme under the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP).

The DYSSO, CEO, and heads of Higher Education Institutions were asked to encourage the youth for startups in agriculture and allied sectors.

He also reviewed JJM schemes and directed the concerned Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department to complete the schemes and ensure 100 percent saturation of functional household tap connections.

Reviewing the implementation of road safety measures, the DC directed Executive Engineer PWD division Vijaypur to expedite the pace of work in the accident-prone area.
