Probe underway in Billawar deaths: SSP Kathua
Jammu, Feb 18: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua, Shobhit Saxena Tuesday stated that the investigation was underway to ascertain the cause of death of two persons whose bodies were recovered in Billawar village two days ago.
“No, there is no breakthrough yet as investigation is still underway. So far, we have registered a murder case and an intensive probe is being conducted,” SSP Kathua told Greater Kashmir, when asked about the latest status of the probe in the case.
The Police had recovered the bodies of two persons along the banks of a stream in village Batheri on Sunday.
On Monday, the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, while sharing his grief, had asked the concerned officers to investigate the cause of death of the duo.
He had said that he was in touch with the local MLA as well on this account.
