Probe ordered as Sampark Kranti Express engine derails in Jammu

Jammu, May 30: Railway authorities Thursday ordered investigation into the incident of derailment of Sampark Kranti Express at Jammu Railway Station.

Officials stated that the engine-wheel went off the track as it arrived from New Delhi.

“It came to a halt. Fortunately, there was no casualty or injury. However, train traffic was disrupted due to the incident. It took around two hours to bring it back on track. Efforts were on to normalise operation of trains, whose schedule was disrupted. Investigation has been ordered into the incident to ascertain the cause,” they added.
